Marina Beach, Chennai: Entry fees, Timings and more.

Hey Everyone,

Chennai The Marina Beach is among the most magnificent beaches in India. It is infact the 2nd largest urban beach in the world.

It’s located at Kamarajar Salai Road, at a distance of 3 km from the capital city ofTamil Nadu, extending to a length of 13 km from St. George Fort to Mahabalipuram.

This place does attract a lot of tourist and is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.

The specialty of this place is that it is covered by golden sand and a clear strip of blue sea.

So on the next day of our Chennai trip, we booked a private cab from our Hotel in Taj Connemara at Chennai.

It took us around 5hrs to reach this place. If you go through a Make-my-Trip or travel agency, make sure they have this place on their list.

And if you are travelling on your own, then make this place at number one on your priority along with places like the Government Museum, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, San Thome Cathedral, MA Chidambaram Stadium, etc.

Visiting Hours: This beach is open 24hours.
Best time to visit: November-March
Entry fee: FREE

Another interesting this about this place is that it is varieties item of Street Food and Shopping Market Place.

Some varieties item of Street Food like Idli Sambar, Dosa, Uttapam, Poori, Vada, Pani Puri, etc.

Some Shopping Market Place like T. Nagar, Sowcarpe, Ritchie Street, Pondy Bazaar, Nungambakkam, etc. are near by.
