1-Day Trip to Nicco Park

Not only children, but we adults are also equally fond of spending a day in the amusement park. The excitement and thrills that sway like a swing in the hearts explode our moods nowhere. On one fine day, we decided to go to the most iconic amusement park in the east – Nicco Park. Me and my friends head out for Nicco Park at 9 AM in the morning. We took a Uber and reached the destination by 10:30 PM.

Some of my friends went there by bike and car. So they had to pay Rs.50/- and Rs.100/- respectively for parking. We booked our ticket online in advance. So we showed them at the gate and went in.

My crazy friends were super excited to take photographs. The weirdos as usual positioned themselves in front of the family carousel, caterpillar, and some funny statues. We together took group photos. We entered the mirror maze. It was quite a unique place!

Most of the visitors prefer the toy train ride first, but we were ready to take our excitement to the next level by trying some thriller rides. So we headed towards the roller coaster and water chute. Trust me what a wonderful experience it was. My two friends Ajit and Shital were screaming like insane as the ride took up more speed. The roller coaster gave me goosebumps when it descended from a height and I literally got my breath back after I got down. The water chute also gave us thrills and it was quite fun when the water splashed and drenched us.

Paddle boat, pirate ship, The Bhoot, River Cave, Lazy River, and Cruiser Ride were some of the other rides we enjoyed there. Poulami, one of them in my squad was reluctant to enter the “The Bhoot” as she said, “Ratre Bhooter Bhoi e Ghum Asbena.” But on insisting she entered and her expression was really funny to look at!  We were quite tired after strolling the entire park but now we thought of relaxing a bit.

After energizing ourselves with the water available in the park itself, we thought of enjoying the view of the surrounding by riding the cable car and toy train.

We were done with the main thrilling and exciting rides in the amusement Park. Now it was time to visit the water park (Wet-O-Wild). There are many rides in Wet-O-Wild as well. Water games are too much fun that our troop enjoyed it all seamlessly. We also could spot children playing in the children’s park. Everyone was so happy and cheerful. A beautiful day with loads of fun and excitement.

So it was time to return back to our homes and exchange photos and videos. We had our lunch in Aminia, savored the biriyani, and reached home by 5:00 PM.

These are some of the things to know about Nicco Park in Kolkata. You can visit this amusement park at any time of the year. However, it is recommended to visit Nicco in the winter and the Wet-O-Wild water park in the summer.
