The nearest railway station to Bankiput is Contai Railway Station. There are direct trains from Howrah Railway Station to Contai, like the Tamralipta Express or the Kandari Express. The journey takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes. You can take a shared trekker, auto, or taxi from the station to Bankiput.

By Bus:

You can take a SBSTC bus from Esplanade or Dharmatala bus stand to Contai (Kanthi). The distance is about 130 km. From there, you can take a shared trekker, auto, or private taxi to Bankiput, another 30 km away. The bus journey may take 4 to 5 hours, depending on the traffic.

By Car:

The distance between Kolkata and Bankiput is about 164 kilometers. The journey by car takes about 4 hours. You can take NH16 and NH116B to reach Contai from Kolkata. You can then take Junput Road from Contai to Junpur, then turn towards Bankiput and take the Sea Dike Road.
