  • 1 Induction Cooktop
  • 1 Kadhai

Ingredients
  

  • 2½-3 cup Methi Saag Fenugreek Leaves; chopped
  • 1 Onion medium
  • 2-3 Green chilis or according to heat tolerance
  • 3-4 tbsp Besan or Gram Flour
  • 1½-2 tsp Rice Flour
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 pinch Baking Soda
  • ¾ tsp Black Cumin Seeds or Nigella seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Chat Masala powder
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions
 

Prepare the Methi Leaves

  • First, wash the Methi leaves thoroughly.
  • Shake off the excess water and chop them roughly.
  • Prepare the veggies
  • Next, wash the onion and the green chilis.
  • Next, chop the onion.
  • Next, finely chop the green chilis.

Prepare the Methi Saager Boras

  • Now, take a large mixing bowl and add the chopped Methi leaves, onion, and green chilis.
  • To this, add the gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, nigella seeds, baking soda, and salt to taste.
  • Combine and mix everything nicely.
  • Add a little bit of water and mix again.
  • Add water as needed. The mixture should be thick and everything should come together like a dough.
  • Take a taste test and add salt if needed.

Fry the Methi Saager Boras

  • Now, take a deep frying pan or a kadhai and add vegetable oil.
  • Let the oil heat until it smokes a little.
  • Next, take small portions of the Methi leaves mixture and drop them gently into the oil. Keep the flame on medium.
  • Fry them from all the sides until golden brown.
  • Do this in batches and when done, transfer the boras onto a kitchen tissue-covered plate. This will soak off the excess oil.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle some chat masala powder on the boras for some extra kick of flavor.
